We have research position for Post-doctorate Research Fellow, Research Associat e and research scholarship to support PhD student in the area of multiphase fl ow as follows:
Position (1)
Post doctorate Fellow Research Position in: Stability of Multi-fluid Flow in Microchannels
About project
The stability of the interface between a conducting fluid and a non-conducting fluid is critical to the operating limit and the accuracy of the micro-fluidic devices. Under the combined effect of hydrodynamics and electroosmosis, elect rohydrodynamic instability occurs at the interface. The stability of the interf ace has both fundamental and practical interest. On the practical side, the int erface between two immiscible liquids is subjected to flow disturbances. On the fundamental side, the stability mechanisms are influenced by the interplay of transport phenomena between the immiscible liquids.
The project aim to investigate the instability of the interface between multi-p hase under the combined effect of hydrodynamics and electroosmosis . Theoretic al models, numerical simulation and experimental validation will be studied.
Requirements PhD degree with experience in theoretical modeling /numerical simulation of mul tiphase flow.
Prior experience in micro fluidic will be an advantage.

Position (2)
Research Associate Position in: Oil-Gas two Phase flow in Pipeline
About project
Most of the research efforts on two-phase flow have been heavily directed towar ds the flows of gases and Newtonian liquids. In the oil and process industries, non-Newtonian liquids, especially pseudoplastic liquids are encountered freque ntly through pipelines over long distances. A clear understanding of the basic flow mechanism involved non-Newtonian liquid / gas flow is essential to econom ic design of equipment. The project aim to develop theoretical / numerical mo dels to investigate the effects of shear-thinning non-Newtonian two phase flow. (eg. Stratified flow, annular flow).
Requirements M.Eng (Master ) degree with experience in theoretical modeling /numerical sim ulation of multiphase flow, non-Newtonian flow.
